Whitehorse Churches Care is a formal organisational structure that brings together the churches of Whitehorse. Connecting people across denominations, collaborating on community focused projects, bringing together our different resources, skills and experience, and responding to the needs of our community together.
The Churches in the City of Whitehorse share a common desire to respond to Jesus’ commands to love one another and to serve rather than be served. We do this best when together we serve those among us who are in need.
Eastern Emergency Relief Network Inc (EERN) is made up of a number of member welfare providing agencies (approximately 140) including NewHope Community Care. These members are the active arm which bring their clients in need to the warehouse for assistance.
The core objective of EERN is to make available furniture and other household goods as emergency aid to those in need.
Operating since 2001, LinC Whitehorse is a large group of volunteers from various Christian denominations, joining together to help people within the City of Whitehorse who have short term needs. Major suburbs covered include: Mitcham, Blackburn, Nunawading, Vermont, Box Hill and Forest Hill.
